ETV6 and salivary gland carcinoma: In 16 of those patients, the change involved reclassification of the salivary carcinoma from one type to another, and specifically, in 6 cases the change was to a new type of salivary gland carcinoma not recognized in the 2005 WHO classification—mammary analogue secretory carcinoma (MASC)—based on the presence of ETV6-NTRK3 translocation.
