Further stratification of patients with TETs into patients with TCs and thymomas compared to volunteers revealed significant differences of HSP27 and 70 serum concentrations (HSP27[pg/ml]: 635.9 ± 118.3 vs. 412.5 ± 73.2 vs. 334.6 ± 50.2; p = 0.021 and HSP70[ng/ml]: 2.4 ± 0.5 vs. 1.7 ± 0.3 vs. 1.3 ± 0.1; p = 0.015, respectively). The gene discussed is HSPB1; the disease is thymoma.
