HMGA2 expression is elevated in many malignant neoplasms (Fusco and Fedele, 2007; Cleynen and Van de Ven, 2008), and its overexpression is a poor prognostic factor for colon cancer, lung cancer (Sarhadi et al., 2006), oral squamous cell carcinoma (Miyazawa et al., 2004), ovarian cancer (Kim et al., 2015), and metastatic breast cancer (Sun et al., 2015). This evidence concerns the gene HMGA2 and lung cancer.
