SP patients had similar alterations of inflammation-associated proteins, e.g., insulin-like growth factor I receptor (IGF-I sR), insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-II), lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP), or leukocyte cell-derived chemotaxin 2 (LECT2), to SP-ARDS patients. This evidence concerns the gene IGF1R and acute respiratory distress syndrome.
