ERVW-1 and infection: Nasal titers from the donor ferrets from both H9N2 test groups showed that a productive infection was established within 2 d.p.i., and the animals were shedding virus nasally for at least 6 d.p.i. (Table 5) Between the two H9N2 viruses, donors infected with A/chicken/Bd/10450/2011 shed more virus (~6 Log10 TCID50/mL) than did the donor ferrets infected with env/Bd/10306 (~4 log10 TCID50/mL) at 2 d.p.i. (Table 5).
