Of note, 15.4% of all NPC patients in the training cohort were IgA-VCA negative; however, gH/gL maintained diagnostic capacity (25 of the 32 VCA-negative NPC patients had positive gH/gL results), and 201 (96.6%) of the 208 NPC patients were diagnosed correctly when VCA and gH/gL were tested together. This evidence concerns the gene CD79A and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
