8% (N = 29) of enrolled patients were also affected by celiac disease, 7.5% (N = 27) were affected by thyroiditis, 0.8% (N = 3) were obese, and two suffered from Arnold Chiari Syndrome Type I. 16.7% (N = 18/108) of cases tested positive for ICA, 69.8% (N = 164/235) for GAD65 autoantibody, 49.5% (N = 102/206) for IAA, 53.6% (N = 15/28) for IA-2 autoantibody, and 33.3% (N = 1/3) for ZnT8 autoantibody. Here, GAD2 is linked to thyroiditis.
