In a North Indian cohort, the risk of CYP1A1 gene polymorphism in 100 patients with lung cancer was assessed, and a 2.68-fold risk was observed for CYP1A1 2C allele and in the presence of a single copy of the variant CYP1A1 (CYP1A1 * 1/2A) and for null GSTT1 genes, a threefold increased risk of lung cancer was demonstrated [27]. This evidence concerns the gene CYP1A1 and lung cancer.
