Our previous studies indicated that human papillomavirus (HPV) 16/18 may be associated with the development of NSCLC in Taiwan and promotes tumor malignancy via increasing human telomerase reverse transcriptase, FoxM1, IL-10 expressions, and inactivation of p53 and TIMP-3 by E6 oncoprotein [6–10]. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and neoplasm.
