Additional proteins of interest that were over-expressed in CLL patients that required treatment at later stage of the disease progression (group B), include SNX18, involved in endocytosis and vesicle trafficking during interphase and at the end of mitosis [90], APRT, which sensitizes cells to treatment with E. coli purine nucleoside phosphorylase [82], Acox3-acyl-coenzyme A oxidase 3 (ACOX3), with a SNP shown to be associated with prediction of outcome of CLL [72] being highly (54.2-fold) over-expressed in CLL patients group B, as confirmed by immunoblotting (Table 2).
