We identified that p-Src promoted NPC cell metastasis by inducing the EMT process through activating the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway; particularly, 4-amino-5-(4-chlorophenyl)-7-(t-butyl)pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine (PP2), an inhibitor of SFKs, reduced metastatic potential by reversing the EMT process in vitro and in vivo by suppressing PI3K/AKT activation. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
