To explore the association of CD133+ cancer stem-like cells with VM in ACC cells, we plated cells on Matrigel and observed that CD133+ cells began to give rise to tubular structures in < 24 h and produced very characterized microvascular channels by 48 h, whereas there was no tube formation in CD133− cells (Figure 4A). The gene discussed is PROM1; the disease is adrenal cortex carcinoma.
