According to the literatures, the diagnostic efficiency of serum CEACAM1 varied among cancers, but as a single diagnostic biomarker, high AUCs for serum CEACAM1 were noted in pancreatic cancer and NSCLC patients (AUCs of 0.936 and 0.96, respectively) [13,15]. This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM1 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
