It has been found in a number of studies in recent years [18, 19] that, in renal tissues under high blood pressure, there is a great number of inflammatory cells infiltrating and the abnormal expression of inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α, IL-6, and IL-1β increases [20, 21], indicating that inflammation reaction is one of the important factors in the occurrence of hypertensive renal damage. This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and hypertensive disorder.
