In the adjuvant setting, ALASCCA is a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase III trial of aspirin in colorectal patients with mutations in the PI3K signalling pathway (PIK3CA, PIK3R1 or PTEN mutations), and SAKK 41/13 (Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research), a double-blind, placebo-controlled randomised trial of adjuvant aspirin treatment in PIK3CA-mutated colon cancer patients (NCT02467582). Here, PIK3CA is linked to colonic neoplasm.
