We assessed levels of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells (and memory subsets based on the expression of the two markers CD45RA and CD27, see Table 1 for details) and their cytokine production in the blood of 28 non-human primates (NHPs) (cynomologus macaques) at 10 time points over the course of experimental Mtb infection (up to 6 months post infection) (Fig 2A, Table 1, S1–S6 Tables). Here, CD27 is linked to infection.
