ESR1 and neoplasm: More than twenty cucurbitane triterpenoids have been reported from the stems and leaves of WBM originated in Taiwan, these cucurbitane triterpenoids possess the in vitro modulating estrogen receptors [29], cytoprotective [30], anti-tumor [31] and hypoglycemic activities [32] and, in vivo, suppress chemical-induced skin carcinogenesis [33].
