We show that similarities and differences withother studies around the world such as age of ourpatients, high frequency of AML M2 and M4, relativelyhigher female rate of patients and commonincidence of t (8; 21), apart from our small samplesize, could be evidence of ethnic or geographicfactors on different patterns of leukemia patients.Immunophenotypic results of our t (8; 21) positivepatients had complete specific expression ofCD45, CD38, CD34, CD33 and HLA-DR with50% expression of CD19. This evidence concerns the gene CD19 and leukemia.
