Univariate analysis showed that factors associated with cirrhosis in patients with HCC were male sex (P = 0.0056), Child–Pugh class B (P = 0.0495), presence of esophageal and/or gastric varices (P < 0.0001), ICGR15 ≥14 % (P < 0.0001), albumin <3.9 g/dL (P = 0.0143), total bilirubin ≥0.7 mg/dl (P < 0.0001), platelet count <16 × 104/μL (P < 0.0001), AST ≥39 IU/L (P = 0.0025), and high cancerous fluorescence imaging (P < 0.0001). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and hepatocellular carcinoma.
