Vitamin B-6 supplementation had no effect on the changes (Δ week 12 − week 0) of MDA, GSH, GSSG, and TEAC levels and the activities of SOD, GPx, GST, and GR (p > 0.05), but it significantly reduced (β = −2.4, standard error = 1.0, p = 0.02) plasma homocysteine after adjusting for age, gender, BMI, the baseline (week 0) levels of creatinine and ALT, smoking and drinking habits, and HCC stage. Here, SOD1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
