Kitaguchi’s work used APPSweInd mouse model of AD to study the bilateral carotid artery stenosis’s (BCAS) effect on AD pathology, and they only focused on the Aβ analysis and found chronic cerebral hypoperfusion increased Aβ deposition in APPSweInd transgenic mice37; whereas, in Zhao’s created UCCAO in WT mice study, they found that an increased Tau phosphorylation in the brain after chronic cerebral hypoperfusion23. Here, MAPT is linked to Alzheimer disease.
