ALK and non-small cell lung carcinoma: In a recent clinical trial of brigatinib in ALK-positive NSCLC patients, a radiological review of patients with baseline CNS metastases showed response in 50% (6/12) of patients, while in another subgroup of patients, 31% (8/26) with non-measureable CNS lesions had disappearance of all lesions [29], indicating that brigatinib is able to penetrate the blood-brain barrier.
