Gene expression analyses of proliferation, adhesion and angiogenesis markers showed significant increase of expression levels of cyclin D1 (CCND1), v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homologue 1 (Akt1), mitogen-activated protein kinase 3 (MapK), forkhead box a1 (Foxa1), ICAM1, cadherin 2 (N-cad), C-X-C chemokine receptor type 7 (CXCR7), vascular endothelial growth factor-C (VEGF-C), transforming growth factor-β2 (TGFβ2) and angiopoietin-2 (Ang2) in tumor cells treated with HFD-derived serum (Figure S2C), while no difference was observed for the other parameters. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB2 and neoplasm.
