Although UCA1 was predicted to harbour the recognition sequence of many miRNAs and has been predicted to function as ceRNA of several miRNAs, including miR-1, miR-143 and miR-216b17, 18, 19, we focused on miR-204-5p because of its inverse functions compared with UCA1 in CRC as reported in our previous work21. This evidence concerns the gene UCA1 and colorectal carcinoma.
