This finding is consistent with the published literature and P-gp inhibitory properties of mefloquine were demonstrated in three different in-vitro cell lines; human CEM tumour cells primed with vinblastine (CEM/VBL), P388 leukaemia cells (P388/ADR) and immortalised rat brain capillary endothelial cells (GPNT) [35–37].
