Moreover, it is interesting to note that among the inflammatory factors analyzed, the CCL5/RANTES chemokine, mainly associated with a signature of synovial inflammation, was the only one that was still down-modulated in the presence of ASC, both in co-culture with p.1 with low- or moderate-grade synovitis, and with p.5 synovial cells, thus highlighting that this was an effect independent of the presence of SM.
