CRP and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma: Univariate Cox's proportional hazards models revealed that the histological types of EC (ESCC versus AC) (p = 0.029), tumor stage (p = 0.001), tumor size (p = 0.001), the presence of distant metastases (p < 0.001), resectability of tumor (p = 0.003), tumor length (p = 0.012), and the CRP levels (p = 0.024) were the significant factors affecting the overall survival.
