Patients who carried NOTCH1 SMs were at a higher risk of cancer recurrence [odds ratios (OR) = 4.5; 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.4–14.1; P = 0.01] and cancer death (OR = 5.8; 95% CI, 1.5–23.0; P = 0.01) than those who carried wild-types (Table 2). Here, NOTCH1 is linked to cancer.
