SasL1 is a subline of the SAS tongue carcinoma cell line that contains a p53 with wild-phenotype [27, 28, 50], while the TR146 cell line, which was derived from a cervical lymph node metastasis that originated from a well-differentiated buccal HNSCC [51], has a homozygous mutation in exon 7 of the TP53 gene [29, 30]. This evidence concerns the gene TP53 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
