Several members of the DUB family are known to contribute to carcinogenesis, including USP1 [17], USP2 [18], USP7 [19, 20] and USP22 [10–12, 21], while other DUBs are down-regulated in human cancers, including USP10 [22] and BAP1[23]. This evidence concerns the gene ZUP1 and cancer.
