QM-MSP data available for 34 tumor-tissue FNAs from patients participating in the ductal lavage study. Frequency of methylation was significantly higher in tumors than corresponding fluid for every gene. Among methylation-positive cases, median methylation fraction was significantly increased for tumor tissue than corresponding fluid for APC, HIN1, and RASSF1A. There was no correlation between individual methylation fractions of tumors as compared to corresponding fluid for any gene. The gene discussed is SCGB3A1; the disease is neoplasm.
