Variables that had high odds ratios for AKI prediction vs. AKI detection were different –for AKI prediction: use of diuretics (OR 1.801) or combination drugs such as NSAIDs, ACE inhibitors and diuretics (OR 2.165), history of prior AKI (OR 1.646), comorbidities such as coronary artery disease (OR 1.669), diabetes (OR 1.505) and respiratory failure (OR 2.415) all had strong association with AKI. Here, ACE is linked to diabetes mellitus.
