H19 and Anxiety: The maternal mental well-being is one of a number of environmental factors which have now been shown to influence IGF2 and H19 methylation, along with smoking,24 antidepressant use13 and famine.21 Only two smaller studies (n<100) have previously considered the association between maternal anxiety and IGF2/H19 methylation, and their findings have not yet been replicated.25, 26
