ASA grade (HR 1.99, 95 % CI 1.28–3.10, p = 0.002), mGPS (HR 1.53, 95 % CI 1.11–2.10, p = 0.010), and breaching the established CRP threshold of 150 mg/L on POD 4 (HR 2.32, 95 % CI 1.29–4.20, p = 0.005) were independently associated with overall survival after surgery for colonic cancer.
