All of these findings showed that restoring the expression of miR-141 could at least partially reverse the tumor suppressive effect of BRD7 on cell proliferation and apoptosis in vitro and demonstrate that BRD7, as a tumor suppressor, has a critical role in cell-cycle arrest and initiation of apoptosis through negative transcriptional regulation of miR-141 in NPC progression. The gene discussed is BRD7; the disease is neoplasm.
