We have previously shown that miR-141, as a potential oncomiRNA, was upregulated in NPC tissues and regulated some critical pathways, such as Rb/E2F, JNK2 and AKT signaling in NPC progression.30 Furthermore, miR-141 levels can be repressed by knockdown of c-Myc and SPLUNC1 overexpression in vitro and in vivo. The gene discussed is RB1; the disease is nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
