To confirm this hypothesis, we detected expression levels of miR-16 and IKBKB in breast cancer samples and found that miR-16 was negatively associated with T stages, while IKBKB positively correlated with T, N and clinical stages, which supported that miR-16 and IKBKB might participate in tumorigenesis of breast cancer. Here, IKBKB is linked to breast carcinoma.
