A previous study demonstrated that DNAJC7 participates in the p53/MDM2-negative feedback pathway, dissociating MDM2 and p53 by inhibiting the formation of p53/MDM2 complex to improve the stability and activity of p53 protein; thus plays a role in inhibition of human carcinogenesis [31]; thus, polyglutamylated DNAJC7 would lose its function in regulation of p53 stability and activity and subsequently, RCC will occur. Here, TP53 is linked to renal cell carcinoma.
