Although, much is not known about the role of radixin in cancer, unlike ezrin, however, radixin has been implicated in prostate cancer progression [65]; and impairment of radixin in human pancreatic cancer cell line by shRNA not only significantly attenuated cell proliferation, survival, adhesion and invasion but also enhanced expression levels of the cell-cell adhesion molecule, E-cadherin [66].
