In humans receiving 213Bi-anti-CD33 for RIT for myeloid leukaemia, although injected activities were ten times lower than in dogs (ranging from 10.36 to 37 MBq/kg), the only adverse effect reported, except for the haematological toxicity, was a transient liver function abnormality in one third of patients between days 5 and 14 [28]. The gene discussed is CD33; the disease is myeloid leukemia.
