A previous study in skin cancer suggested that decreased RNA editing levels of IGFBP7 results from failure to edit excess amount of highly expressed IGFBP7 transcripts in tumors; however, in our analysis only HNSC showed a significant increase in IGFBP7 total mRNA levels (P-value ≤0.05) (Fig. S10).
