Tumor stage, lymph node involvement and vascular/perineural invasion were well-known prognostic factors in biliary tract cancer.[19] In our study, T/N stage, presence of lymphatic/vascular/perineural invasion, histologic differentiation and elevated total bilirubin/CEA/CA 19–9 were adverse prognostic factors. The gene discussed is CEACAM5; the disease is biliary tract neoplasm.
