Among adenocarcinomas, frequent genetic alterations are mutations in p53, Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog (KRAS), cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 2A (CDKN2A), mixed-lineage leukemia 3 (MLL3), serine/threonine kinase 11 (STK11), and the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) [6–9]. This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and adenocarcinoma.
