From the 164 identified genes, 10 were described previously in literature (POU4F3, WT1, TBX3, SOX1, COL6A2, ALK, SOX17, PCDH10, CTNND2, APOBEC2) as being more frequently methylated in CIN2/3 lesions and/or cervical cancer compared to normal cervices, indicating the validity of our approach. Here, TBX3 is linked to cervical cancer.
