ERBB2 and gastric cancer: In this study, we show wide disparity between in vitro (culture) vs. in vivo (xenograft) ERBB2 protein expression in a panel of 25 diverse GC cell lines, and through our unique subpathway analysis (PATHOME) [22], we identify a translationally relevant ERBB2 signal network and possible basis for resistance by overexpression of three previously uncharacterized ERBB2 subpathway genes.
