ctDNA analysis indeed detected up to 12 distinct subclones, each harboring a different mutation in RAS-type family GTPases (RAS) or v-Raf murine sarcoma viral oncogene homolog B1 (BRAF) genes, in individual patients with colorectal cancer (CRC) after they had developed anti-EGFR therapy resistance [12].
