As shown in Fig. 4a, b, I.T. synthetic long peptide vaccination in buccal tumor-bearing mice generated significantly higher amount of IFN-γ secreting CD8+ T cells in the spleen compared to naïve mice, mice received buccal vaccination alone or buccal tumor challenge alone, whereas there were no significant differences in the number of IFN-γ secreting CD8+ T cells in spleen of mice receiving subcutaneous treatments. This evidence concerns the gene IFNG and neoplasm.
