Among 102 genes, 82 genes (except KLF11, IGFBP1, LCP2, XBP1, ORC2L, EIF4EBP2, EXOC8, TRUB2, SIPA1, SEMA3G, COL23A1, PABPC3, HIST3H3, SLC25A18, ADAMTS4, TM9SF4, PRRG2, PLEKHB1, VSIG2, and HAO1) exhibited changes in methylation in aging and cancer that were consistent with the two patterns we defined. The gene discussed is SEMA3G; the disease is cancer.
