Choedon et al. [45] used a HBx15-c-myc mouse model for HCC, in which a truncated HBx allele is overexpressed together with c-myc, to show that Thapring, a traditional Tibetan medicine, restores liver function after 10 months of treatment with concomitant reduction in serum of SOD and VEGF levels. Here, MYC is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
