On the other hand, the increased HP/LP ratio in the CRC ECM (Fig. 4B) was associated with an increased level of hydroxylated lysine (Fig. 4C and Supplementary Material 2.7), and among all ECM proteins carrying hydroxylated lysine (Supplementary Material 2.8 and Supplementary Fig. S4) only COL1A1 showed increased content of hydroxylated lysine vs healthy and perilesional ECMs (Fig. 4D). The gene discussed is COL1A1; the disease is colorectal carcinoma.
