Rats in the HF group exhibited higher levels of serum total cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose, and insulin than those in the Chow group (total cholesterol, 2.06 ± 0.26 mmol/L vs. 1.43 ± 0.16 mmol/L, p < 0.01; triglycerides, 1.31 ± 0.41 mmol/L vs. 0.57 ± 0.294 mmol/L, p < 0.01; glucose, 15.14 ± 3.85 mmol/L vs. 10.18 ± 0.35 mmol/L, p < 0.01; insulin, 6.49 ± 1.82 mmol/L vs. 3.07 ± 1.14 mmol/L, p < 0.01).
